MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten in the Midwest Conference with a 4-0 win over Monmouth College at Peacock Athletic Park.

Katie Vanden Avond pumped in all four goals for the Green Knights (6-3, 3-0 MWC) on just five shots. The outburst increased her goal total to 21 for the season and 112 for her career. Vanden Avond is now tied for fifth all-time in NCAA Division III history with Ohio Wesleyan University standout Katy Sturtz, who played from 1998 to 2001. Vanden Avond is now 13 goals shy of surpassing the current Division III record of 124 with nine regular-season games remaining.

The Green Knights took a 1-0 lead into halftime thanks to a Vanden Avond marker in the 17th minute, with Monica Stephans recording an assist.

Vanden Avond then scored in the 50th, 73rd and 77th minutes to clinch the road win for the Green Knights. Shannon Jung assisted on the goal in the 50th minute, with the last two goals coming unassisted.

Vanden Avond's four goals matches a career high, the eighth time she has reached that plateau in her career and the fourth time this season.

St. Norbert outshot Monmouth 13-12. Maddie Plinska made eight saves for her second shutout of the season. Nicole Neagle made five saves for Monmouth (2-9, 1-2).
