Green Knights Clinch MWC Tournament Berth in Sweep of Vikings

DE PERE - St. Norbert College clinched a berth in the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament with a 3-0 win over Lawrence University on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights (12-15, 7-2 MWC) topped the Vikings (8-18, 6-4) by scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-14 and improved to 56-0 all-time in a series that dates back to 1978. St. Norbert will find out its draw and the site of the MWC Tournament on Nov. 6-7 after conclusion of league play this weekend.

St. Norbert eked out the first set before rolling in the final two sets. The Green Knights had 18 kills against six errors in sets two and three combined, while Lawrence had 16 kills and 19 errors in the same two sets.

Kristina Herman led St. Norbert with nine kills. Halie Ferry added eight kills and Erin Lang seven as the Green Knights hit .184 (32-14-98). Lauren Lehman had 13 assists and Kaitlin Delahaut added 12 assists.

Aubree Antosch finished with 12 digs. Delahaut added eight digs and Herman and Lauren Lehman had seven digs apiece. Anika Johnson totaled three blocks.

Lawrence hit .043 for the match with 28 kills and 24 errors in 93 attempts. Megan Conley led the Vikings with eight kills.
