St. Norbert Clinches MWC Tournament No. 3 Seeding With Five-Set Win

DE PERE - St. Norbert College ground out a tough five-set with over Carroll University to earn the Midwest Conference Tournament's No. 3 seeding. The Green Knights topped the Pioneers 25-20, 22-25, 26-24, 12-25, 16-14 at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights (13-15, 8-2 MWC) held a 10-7 lead in the fifth set before Carroll cut the deficit to 13-12. St. Norbert got the next point but the Pioneers rallied to knot the score 14-14. The Green Knights closed out the match with the last two points, finished off by a Hannah Johnshoy kill.

St. Norbert hit .131 for the match, getting 57 kills with 34 errors in 176 attempts. Halie Ferry totaled 18 kills, Anika Johnson 11 kills and Kristina Herman 10 kills.

Kaitlin Delahaut finished with 35 assists and Lauren Lehman added 17 assists. Aubree Antosch had 21 digs, while Ferry and Herman both had 16 digs apiece. Johnson had four blocks.

Carroll hit .229 with 60 kills and 21 errors in 170 attempts. Kelly Sloyan led the Pioneers with 25 kills.
