DE PERE - St. Norbert College football senior running back Brad Boockmeier and senior linebacker Jacob Wells have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division III Football Academic All-District VI teams. Both advance for Academic All-America consideration.

Boockmeier, a Green Bay native, possesses a 3.84 grade point average with a major in mathematics. He leads the 8-0 Green Knights in rushing with 561 yards on 114 carries with five touchdowns. He was a second-team All-Midwest Conference selection in 2013, and was a second-team CoSIDA Academic All-America this past spring in track and field. A teaching assistant in the St. Norbert Math Department, he is a Dean's List student.

Wells, a Gwinn, Mich., native, holds a 3.82 grade point average while majoring in business administration. Wells is the third-leading tackler with 44 tackles for the Green Knights, who are allowing just 268.1 yards per game. Wells has 5.5 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks with one interception this season, his first playing linebacker after playing defensive back for three years. He is also a Dean's List student.

To be eligible for national or district selection, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.0, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution and be nominated by his sports information director. The Academic All-America team is selected after All-District teams are picked from eight geographic regions nationally. The Academic All-America team for football will be announced December 1.
