St. Norbert Falls at Dominican

RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Dominican University jumped out to an early lead en route to a 5-2 win over St. Norbert College in a non-conference game at West Campus Field.

The Green Knights end their regular season 13-5, while Dominican, ranked 21st in the NCAA Division III, improved to 15-2-1.

The Stars jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 12 minutes on goals by Plamen Pamukov and Matt Kochanowski. Dominican made it 3-0 at halftime on a goal by Lionel Tovar in the 31st minute.

Dominican pushed out to a 5-0 advantage in the first 15 minutes of the second half on markers from Michael Kapusta and Rigoberto Barajas. The Green Knights scored the last two goals of the match on scores by Kevin Conrath and Adam Sanchez. Conrath's goal was his fifth of the year while Sanchez netted his 16th score of the season.

Dominican outshot St. Norbert 14-7. Joe Schwartz started for St. Norbert and made three saves in playing the first half. Noah Davis made one save in 34 minutes in the second half, while Blake Cieslewicz finished up and did not see a shot on goal in 11 minutes.
