WINONA, Minn. - Jillian Kosteck's goal 3 minutes 37 seconds into overtime propelled St. Norbert College to a 3-2 win over St. Mary's University in a non-conference game at SMU Ice Arena.

The Green Knights (4-4) retained the Card-Knight Cup for the second consecutive year, the traveling trophy awarded to the annual game's victor.

Kosteck scored unassisted for the game-winning goal, her first overall goal of the season. It was the third overtime win in the six-year history of the program, and the first since the Green Knights pulled out a 3-2 win over UW-River Falls in the NCHA O'Brien Cup Playoffs championship game on March 2, 2013.

Following a scoreless first period, St. Mary's (3-3-1) struck first with a Jamie Henderson goal at the 7:41 mark of the second period. Selena Stromer countered with a goal moments later with a finish at 9:02. St. Mary's took a 2-1 lead into second intermission when the Cardinals' Macki Fadness scored a power-play goal with 9 seconds remaining in the period.

St. Norbert applied heavy pressure in the third period, outshooting the Cardinals 17-1 in the final 20 minutes. The Green Knights finally got the equalizer at 15:13 on a Lexi Pyykkonen power-play goal.

Natasha Smith assisted on St. Norbert's first two goals to give her the team's lone multi-point game.

St. Norbert outshot St. Mary's 45-16. Leigh Grall made 14 saves for the Green Knights, while Ashley Corcoran made 42 stops for the Cardinals.

The Green Knights were 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Cardinals were 1-for-3.
