Green Knights Win Pair of Non-Conference Duals

JANESVILLE - St. Norbert College won a pair of non-conference dual meets, defeating Lakeland College 9-0 and Simpson College 5-4 at Premier Tennis and Fitness.

St. Norbert (3-2) won both contested doubles matches against Lakeland by 8-1 scores. Sam Gullick and Joe Oleniczak topped Greg Boknevitz and ShoSean Fujino at No. 1 while Matt La Violette and Tim Fifarek beat Carlos Rodriguez and Jared Nummerdor at No. 2.

Kahlo Vue blanked Dylan Skewis 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. Ben Vande Zande beat Boknevitz 7-, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while La Violette defeated Fujuni 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Gullick beat Rodriguez 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, followed by a 6-1, 6-1 win for Fifarek over Nummerdor at No. 4.

The Green Knights claimed two of the three doubles points against Simpson. Kyle Battle and Zach Simonet beat Pierce Carey and Adam Wieser 8-6 at No. 2 doubles, while Vue and Robert Quinlan beat Geoff Converse and Zach Nelson 8-4 at No. 3.

Quinlan topped Converse 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Simonet beat Wieser 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5 singles while Oleniczak topped Nelson 6-3, 7-5 at No. 6 singles.
