Green Knights Roll to Rose-Hulman Early Bird Title

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - St. Norbert College cruised to the team title of the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational at Cook Stadium in the Green Knights' first outdoor meet of the season.

The Green Knights piled up 229 points to finish well ahead of runner-up Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Baldwin Wallace University, which both had 123 points.

Taylor Domro posted a pair of individual title, winning the 800- and 1,500-meter runs. Domro covered the 800 in 2:21.61 and ran the 1,500 in 4:50.94. Sarah Parbs was second in the 1,500 with a time of 4:59.79. Haley Joosten was third in both the 800 and 1,500 in 2:26.76 and 5:00.73, respectively.

Sarah Duff won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.18 and was second in the 200-meter dash in 27.28 seconds. Angel Hon won the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.03 seconds.

Parbs, Lisa Baeten and Tori Nelson swept the top three places in the 5,000-meter run. Parbs finished in 19:04.38 followed by Baeten in 19:06.44 and Nelsen at 19:06.50.

Charlotte Walsh and Danielle Harris were first and second, respectively, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with times of 12:13.69 and 12:34.09.

Haidyn Mueller was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.66 seconds while Peyton McCauley was third in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:10.83.

Samantha Morateck was second in the high jump with a height of 5 feet 3 1/4 inches while Graceanne Tarsa was third in the pole vault with a clearance of 9-7 1/4.

Kristina Herman was third in the shot put with a distance of 38-3 1/2. Savanna Smith was third in the discus with a toss of 111-9.
