DE PERE - St. Norbert College got a four-hit shutout from Jason Malkowski to lead the Green Knights to a non-conference doubleheader split with UW-Stevens Point at Larry Van Alstine Field at Mel Nicks Sports Complex. The Green Knights took the nightcap 2-0 after dropping the opener 3-0.

Malkowski allowed four hits with three walks and two strikeouts in the complete-game effort. Malkowski worked out of jams in the sixth and seventh innings, stranding two Pointers on base in each of the frames.

St. Norbert (4-6) scored its first run on the bottom of the first inning. Hunter Larson reached on catcher's interference and came around to score on Tyler Banovich's single to right field with two outs.

The Green Knights added a big insurance run in the fifth inning when Adam Enwiya's two-out single plated Larson, who reached second base on a throwing error on a tapper back to the mound.

Enwiya was 2-for-2 for the Green Knights, who had five hits off Pointers' pitcher Cole Erickson.

Jake McMahon took the hard-luck loss in the opener, allowing six hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Stevens Point ace Mark Kowalke allowed five hits in the shutout, striking out two.

Tyler Thomka had a sacrifice fly in the second inning and a two-run single in the sixth inning for the Pointers' offense.
