Green Knights Swept at UW-Oshkosh

OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College was swept in a non-conference doubleheader by UW-Oshkosh 4-1 and 9-2 at UW-Oshkosh Softball Park.

The Green Knights jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the opener when Tia Danforth's double plated Gina Mastrodomenico in the first inning. The Titans answered with two runs in the bottom half of the first inning and added single insurance runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

St. Norbert had two hits in the game. Lexi LeCalsey took the loss, allowing six hits and one earned run with three walks and five strikeouts in five innings pitched.

In the nightcap, St. Norbert again scored in the top of the first inning when Ashley Schuettpelz stole home on the back end of a double steal. Oshkosh scored in each of the next four innings to build a 7-1 lead.

St. Norbert scored in the top of the sixth inning when Amy McBride's sacrifice fly scored Danforth. The Titans scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to close out the scoring.

The Green Knights had six hits in the nightcap, led by a Schuettpelz double. Francesca Marrese took the loss, allowing eight hits and six earned runs in 3 2/3 innings pitched.
