Green Knights Sitting In Sixth After First Day at MWC Outdoor Meet

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College is in sixth place in the team scores after the first day of Midwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Cornell College's Ash Park.

The Green Knights scored 19 1/2 points through six events to sit in sixth place. Monmouth College is in first place with 48 points while Illinois College is in second place with 31 points.

Frank Scandin took third place in the pole vault with a height clearance of 13 feet 5 1/4 inches. Tristin Marx finished in a tie for fourth place at 12-11 1/2.

Brad Boockmeier took fourth place in the long jump while Kevin Schlichter was fifth. Due to computer issues, distances in the event were not immediately available.

Evan Broyles placed third in the discus with a throw of 147-4. Boockmeier was sixth in the high jump with a height of 5-10.
