Basketball Coaches Earn Honors from WBCA

DE PERE - Both St. Norbert College basketball programs had coaches earn honors from Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association for the 2015-16 season.

St. Norbert men's basketball coach Gary Grzesk was named Division III men's college Coach of the Year, while women's basketball coach Connie Tilley was selected Division III women's college Coach of the Year. Additionally, the St. Norbert women's basketball assistant coaches - Riley Woldt, Bri Hauge and Kheenan Halvorson - were named Wisconsin college Assistant Staff of the Year.

Grzesk led St. Norbert to a 25-3 overall record. The Green Knights, who finished the year ranked No. 8 in the D3hoops.com Top 25, advanced to their first NCAA Division III Tournament Sweet 16 since 1984. St. Norbert also went unbeaten in the Midwest Conference for the third consecutive season.

Tilley and her staff piloted St. Norbert to a 21-5 overall record. The Green Knights also went unbeaten in the Midwest Conference, the first time a women's basketball team has done that in the MWC since 1998. St. Norbert also advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the third consecutive season.
