St. Norbert Places 14th at NCAA Midwest Regional

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - St. Norbert College's men's cross country team placed 14th at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional hosted by Augustana College at Saukie Golf Course.

The Green Knights registered 438 points. North Central College won the regional with 51 points, while UW-La Crosse also qualified to the NCAA National Meet with a runner-up finish of 64 points. A total of 39 teams and 280 runners participated in the regional.

Alex DeVillers led the St. Norbert contingent with a 49th-place finish, covering the 8-kilometer course with a time of 26 minutes 3 seconds.

John Barrett placed 80th with a time of 26:40, followed by Aaron Roden in 100th with a time of 26:59. Jon O'Brien finished 103rd with a run in 27:02. Mackenzie Laska rounded out the Green Knight scorers with a time of 27:04 to place 106th.

Eric Desalvo placed 161st with a run in 28:03, while Benji Wetli finished out the St. Norbert placements with a time of 28:16 to finish 176th.
