St. Norbert Remains Unbeaten in MWC

MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten by improving to 4-0 in the Midwest Conference with a 9-0 win over Monmouth College.

The Green Knights (4-3, 4-0 MWC) cruised past the Fighting Scots, only losing two games in doubles action and four games in singles play.

Elizabeth Manlick and Meg Witt beat Katherine Hinman and Rachel Leifheit 8-2 at No. 1 doubles. Katherine Ake and Katlyn Gahan beat Morgan Holle and Natalie Curtis 8-0 at No. 2, while Anna Gosz and Ashley Randazzo blanked Lexi Tibbs and Simone Johnson 8-0 at No. 3.

Three singles players won their matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Gosz beat Holle at No. 3, Gahan topped Tibbs at No. 4 and Randazzo defeated Carolyn Scherpe at No. 5.

Manlick defeated Hinman 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1, while Witt upended Curtis by the same score at No. 6. Ake beat Leifheit 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

St. Norbert also faced UW-Whitewater on its trip home from Illinois, losing to the Warhawks 9-0.
