Green Knights Tripped Up at Lake Superior State

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - St. Norbert College had several close matches but couldn't get enough of them to go its way in an 8-1 loss to NCAA Division II Lake Superior State University at Norris Center.

The Green Knights (7-5) took one double point from the Lakers (3-3), getting an 8-6 win from Anna Gosz and Ashley Randazzo over Laura Roberts and Allison Grandfield at No. 3.

St. Norbert lost two three-set matches in singles play. Katlyn Gahan fell to Laura Valderrama 4-6, 6-3, 12-10 at No. 4 singles, while Randazzo dropped a 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 decision to Jenay Andrews at No. 5.

Elizabeth Manlick also had two close sets against Tara Harvey at No. 1 singles but lost 6-3, 7-5.
