DE PERE - Alex Schumacher's header in the 60th minute held up as St. Norbert College went on to post a 1-0 win over UW-Whitewater in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (11-3) scored when Tyler Kassube's set piece crossed the entire distance through the front of the cage and found the head of Schumacher, who cleanly finished backdoor for the game's only goal at 59:22.

Whitewater (7-4-3) peppered the St. Norbert cage with 17 shots on goal, but Green Knights goalkeeper Josh Koleske was always well-positioned and made all 17 saves.

The Warhawks outshot St. Norbert 19-12, including 10-5 in a scoreless first half. Whitewater also had a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

Chris Lucatorto made six stops in goal for Whitewater.
