Goals Spring Forth as Green Knights Rout Rams

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College registered its highest offensive output of the season with a 6-0 win over Cornell College in a Midwest Conference match at Cornell Soccer Field.
The Green Knights (8-5-1, 4-2-1 MWC) scored twice in the first half and four times in the second half to pull away.
Ellie Lochner scored just 2:58 into the match off a feed from Monica Stephans. Morgan Kelly then found the back of the net at 24:58 for a 2-0 lead the Green Knights would take into halftime.
Sadie Jung put St. Norbert ahead 3-0 at the 59:11 mark. Dana Schwab then scored consecutive unassisted goals at 73:51 and 78:56, while Lochner scored her second goal of the match off a pass from Fiona Hehir at 84:46.
St. Norbert outshot Cornell 21-5 and held an 8-2 edge in corner kicks. Maddie Plinska made two saves for St. Norbert while Ally Magiera made one stop in relief. Clara Garcia made 11 saves for the Rams.
