DULUTH, Minn. - St. Norbert College yielded a first-period goal and that proved to be the difference as the Green Knights dropped a 1-0 decision to College of St. Scholastica in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Mars Lakeview Arena.

Emily Stegora scored for the Saints at 12:22 of the first period to give St. Scholastica all the scoring it would need.

St. Norbert had just one power-play chance, getting a five-minute major power play just 1:22 into the game after a Saints' boarding penalty.

The Green Knights had 1:21 of extra-attacker time in the latter stages of the game but couldn't get on the scoreboard.

St. Norbert outshot St. Scholastica 20-16, including 13-3 in the first period. The Green Knights were 0-for-1 on the power play while St. Scholastica was 0-for-2.

Brianna Kelly made 15 saves for the Green Knights, while Lexi Thomeczek made 20 stops for the Saints.
