St. Norbert Falls to Fighting Saints

DULUTH, Minn. - St. Norbert College dropped a 5-0 decision to College of St. Scholastica in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Mars Lakeview Arena.

The Saints took a 1-0 lead after one period on a goal by Alexia Klaas. St. Scholastica put the game away with three second-period goals by Emily Stegora, Sierra Hanowski and Klaas. Stegora added a third-period goal for the final tally.

St. Norbert outshot St. Scholastica 27-24 but Saints goaltender Lexi Thomeczek made all 27 saves for the shutout. Leigh Grall made 19 saves for the Green Knights.

St. Scholastica was 3-for-9 on the power play while St. Norbert was 0-for-8.
