DeValk, Bobinski and Grzesk Earn All-MWC Honors

DE PERE - St. Norbert College junior guard D.J. DeValk, senior guard Ben Bobinski and coach Gary Grzesk all earned recognition on the All-Midwest Conference Team announced by the league office.

DeValk was a first-team All-MWC selection while Bobinski was second-team All-MWC choice. Grzesk was named the loop's Coach of the Year.

DeValk, a Little Chute native, is averaging a team-high 15.4 points per game. DeValk has made a team-high 54 three-point field goals and is in the top 20 in Division III in assist-to-turnover ratio. DeValk also went over 1,000 career points on Feb. 18, becoming just the fourth St. Norbert player since 1975 to reach that plateau as a junior.

Bobinski, a Pulaski native, is averaging 13.6 points per game and is shooting 38.5 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Bobinski is also averaging 4.6 rebounds per game.

Grzesk earned MWC Coach of the Year honors for the fifth consecutive season. It is Grzesk's sixth overall MWC Coach of the Year award, extending his conference record total.

St. Norbert enters the MWC Tournament 19-4 overall and ranked No. 13 in the D3hoops.com Top 25. The Green Knights finished conference play 16-2 to win their fifth consecutive outright MWC title, the first time that has happened since 1933.
