St. Norbert Three-Peats as MWC Indoor Champions

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College captured its third consecutive Midwest Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship in a dominating performance at Illinois College's King Field House.

The Green Knights rolled to their ninth overall title with 209.5 points, well ahead of runner-up Monmouth College's 136 points. Cornell College was a distant third with 92.5 points.

St. Norbert's Brittany Kozlowski was named MWC Track Performer of the Year, while Samantha Morateck was selected MWC Field Performer of the Year. Coach Don Augustine was named MWC Coach of the Year.

Kozlowski, who won the 1-mile run title Friday, captured the 800-meter run championship with a time of 2:11.71 - breaking her own Midwest Conference record.

Kozlowski also ran on the conference champion 4x400-meter relay team along with Sarah Duff, Maddie LeBrun and Clarissa Jauregui. The quartet set a new MWC record with a time of 4:00.88.

Duff captured the 400-meter dash title with a time of 59.34 seconds. Erin Artz won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:25.36. The distance medley relay also took gold, with Megan Cibulka, Nicole Barth, Kelley Gardipee and Taylor Domro turning in a time of 12:41.99.

LeBrun was third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.62 seconds, while Jauregui was fifth in 1:00.47. Haley Joosten was third in the 800-meter run in 2:14.82, while Hailey Ruplinger was sixth in 2:22.89.

Haidyn Mueller was third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.34 seconds. Teagan Wernicke was fifth at 9.81 seconds and Peyton McCauley was eighth at 10.14 seconds.

Grace Mickelson added a third-place finish in the pole vault with a distance of 8 feet 11 3/4 inches. Kirsten Carrigan was fourth at 8-11 3/4, while Lindsay Kropp was eighth at 8 feet.

Hannah Kruse was third in the weight throw with a distance of 45-1. Savanna Smith was fourth at 43-6, while Kristina Herman was seventh at 40-0 1/2.

Erin Lang was fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 33-10, while McCauley was eighth at 32-7.

Alyssa Wegner was fifth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:59.39.
