St. Norbert Sends Record Seven Thinclads to NCAA Indoor Meet

DE PERE - St. Norbert College women's track and field is sending a record seven athletes to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship this weekend in Naperville, Ill.

Senior Erin Artz will compete in both the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs. Senior Brittany Kozlowski will complete in the 800-meter run and distance medley relay. Junior Taylor Domro, sophomore Sarah Duff and freshman Maddie Lebrun will join Kozlowski in the distance medley relay. Senior Haley Joosten will compete in the 800-meter run, while senior Samantha Morateck has qualified for the high jump.

The distance medley relay is the No. 9 seeding out of 12 entries with a qualifying time of 11:57.29. The distance medley relay will be contested at 5:15 p.m. Friday.

Artz is the No. 11 seeding in the 5K and is the No. 13 seeding in the 3K with qualifying times of 17:18.01 and 9:52.59, respectively. The 5K will take place at 4 p.m. Friday and the 3K is set for 4 p.m. Saturday.

Kozlowski is the No. 2 seeding in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.71, while Joosten is the No. 16 seeding with a time of 2:14.82. The 800-meter run preliminaries are scheduled for 3:05 p.m. Friday with the final set for 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

Morateck the No. 9 seeding in the high jump with a qualifying height of 1.70 meters (5 feet, 7 inches). The high jump will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday.
