St. Norbert Falls to Salve Regina

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College fell to 3-3 on its Florida trip with a 12-2 loss to Salve Regina University.

The Green Knights took an early lead when it scored a run in the top of the first inning when Tyler Banovich drove in a run with a single. Salve Regina took a 2-1 lead with a two-run rally in its half of the inning.

St. Norbert pulled even at 2-2 in the top of the third inning when a Banovich sacrifice fly drove in Derek Klegin.

Salve Regina pulled away with five runs in the fourth inning and then added five more runs in the fifth inning.

St. Norbert was limited to three hits.

Nick Klavekoske took the loss for the Green Knights, allowing seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings pitched.
