WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - St. Norbert College split a doubleheader with Stockton University, winning 2-1 and dropping the nightcap 11-5.

The Green Knights (4-4) were led by the pitching of Jake McMahon in the opener. McMahon bested Stockton's Dylan Warburton in a pitchers' duel. McMahon allowed five hits, did not walk a batter and struck out nine. Warburton, who had not allowed a run in 18 innings entering the game, allowed five hits with one walk and four strikeouts.

Neither team scored until Stockton (6-5) broke through in the fifth inning. The Ospreys, who had a runner cut down at home plate by Sean Ferraro to end the fourth inning, got on the board on an RBI single by Bryce DiPaola. The Green Knights countered in the bottom of the inning when Ferraro singled in Griffin Jack to even the score.

St. Norbert pushed ahead in the sixth when Hunter Larson's bunt single pushed across Andy Peterik. McMahon then cut down the Ospreys in order in the seventh inning to end the game.

Jack was 2-for-2 for the Green Knights, who had five hits.

In the nightcap, Stockton took control with four runs on three hits and two St. Norbert errors in the second inning. Jack Maastricht had a run-scoring single in the third inning for St. Norbert, but the Ospreys got three runs on five hits in their half for a 7-1 lead. Stockton added four runs on three hits and three errors in the fourth inning to take an 11-1 lead.

St. Norbert scored four runs on four hits in the fifth inning, with Sean Grant's two-run single the key play.

The Green Knights had eight hits, with Maastricht going 3-for-3.
