Green Knights Split MWC Matches

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College split a pair of Midwest Conference dual matches at Four Seasons Tennis Club.
The Green Knights (6-6, 1-3 MWC) topped Illinois College 7-2 before falling to Monmouth College 6-3.
St. Norbert won two doubles points against the Blueboys. Alex Vandenberg and Zach Simonet beat Nazar Otunchiev and Rolando Salazar 8-1 at No. 2, while John Zanotti and Joe Oleniczak defeated T.J. Lawal and Collin Walter 8-1.
Zanotti claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win over Salazar at No. 2 singles. Brady Hicks topped Otunchiev 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3, while Vandenberg topped Michael Connolly 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4. Jordan Crump beat Lawal 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, while Matt La Violette blanked Walter 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
Against Monmouth, Zanotti and Oleniczak won St. Norbert's only doubles point with an 8-4 win over Cole Pyatt and Alex Martin at No. 3.
Crump beat Pyatt 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles, while La Violette beat Martin 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
