St. Norbert Closes Out Regular Season With Split

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College wrapped up the regular season with a split of Midwest Conference dual matches, topping Ripon College 9-0 before falling to Lake Forest College 6-3 at Western Racquet and Fitness Club.

The Green Knights (8-8, 3-5 MWC) opened doubles play against Ripon with a pair of 8-0 wins. Kahlo Vue and Ben Vande Zande beat Ben Ermatinger and Lincoln Wurtz at No. 1, while John Zanotti and Joe Oleniczak defeated Adrian Granados and Steven Lanphier at No. 2. Sam Gullick and Matthew Voissem followed with an 8-6 win over Omari Chenault and Junmo Kwon at No. 3.

Zanotti defeated Wurtz 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1, while Matt La Viollette topped Ermatinger 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. Vue beat Kwon 8-3 at No. 3. Zach Simonet topped Granados 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4, while Luke Andrekus beat Chenault 8-1 at No. 5. Voissem posted an 8-0 win over Lanphier at No. 6.

Against Lake Forest, Simonet and Alex Vandenberg beat Nick Zazove and Dragan Trivanovic 8-6 at No. 2. doubles.

The Green Knights picked up a pair of singles wins. Jordan Crump beat Nick Rehm 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5, while La Violette defeated Joe Bove 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6.
