Green Knights Slip Past Elmhurst

ELMHURST, Ill. - St. Norbert College won three singles matches and eked by Elmhurst College 5-4 in a non-conference dual at Brune Tennis Courts.

The Green Knights (5-2) got wins from the Nos. 2, 5 and 6 players to claim the victory. Meg Witt topped Ysabel Gonzaga 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Gina Kerscher then dispatched Meg Simon 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5, followed by Sarah Bradow's three-set win over Bridget Lopez 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6.

St. Norbert earned doubles wins at No. 1 and No. 3 flights. Witt and Sofie Koppmann beat Gonzaga and Rachel Rettger 8-6 at No. 1, while Kerscher and Stephanie Doerfert topped Simon and Dacey Maglaque 8-2 at No. 3.
