Green Knights Battle Nationally Ranked Warhawks

DE PERE - St. Norbert College opened the Mulva Family Fitness and Sports Center against UW-Whitewater, falling to the nationally ranked Warhawks 26-28, 25-19, 25-12, 25-16 in a non-conference match.

The Green Knights hit .424 in the first set, with 18 kills against just four errors in 33 attempts, to survive a taut battle in the opening set against the Warhawks - rated No. 11 in the latest NCAA Division III Poll.

Whitewater, however, hit .409 for the match with 59 kills and 12 errors in 115 attempts to pull away in the final three sets.

St. Norbert hit .157 overall, with 43 kills and 25 errors in 115 attempts. Halie Ferry led the Green Knights with 17 kills, while Lexie Van Hiel added eight kills and Haley Bartz seven kills. Anna Berghoefer had 20 assists and Emily Rohloff 19 assists.

The Green Knights had three blocks each from Berghoefer and Van Hiel. Jaisah Lee led St. Norbert with eight digs, while Rohloff and Brooke Siebert had seven digs in apiece.
