MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College won an important early-season Midwest Conference game against Monmouth College, posting a 2-1 victory at Peacock Park.

The Green Knights (5-4, 2-0 MWC) held a 1-0 lead at halftime thanks to Madalyn Sanderfoot's goal at 18:34 with Dana Schwab assisting. It was Sanderfoot's eighth goal of the season.

Monmouth (6-4, 1-1) answered 54 seconds into the second half on a goal by Alex Izquierdo, but the Green Knights responded moments later. Schwab scored at 48:41 - her fifth goal of the season - with Sanderfoot assisting. That goal held up the rest of the way.

The Green Knights outshot Monmouth 15-8 and had a 3-1 edge in corner kicks. Ally Magiera made two saves for the Green Knights.
