St. Norbert Wins Key MWC Match Over Lake Forest

DE PERE - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten in the Midwest Conference with a key 2-1 win over Lake Forest College at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (10-3-1, 5-0 MWC) extended their winning streak to seven games, matching their longest skein since 2014. St. Norbert also handed the Foresters (7-5-1, 4-1) their first league loss.

St. Norbert took the lead at 27:08, with Sean Sladky's cross finding an open Ben Prange. Prange finished cleanly for his 12th goal of the season. The Foresters would answer at 37:18 when Elyas Ingram's pass hit an unmarked Lucas Geib, who scored to knot the score 1-1.

The Green Knights would retake the lead at 57:31 when Marco Delbecchi slipped past the Foresters' defenders and scored on a 1-on-1 opportunity. Sladky again assisted on the goal.

Lake Forest played the last 22 minutes a man down after a red card.

St. Norbert outshot Lake Forest 18-16 with the Foresters holding a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. Josh Koleske made five saves for the Green Knights, while Tero Elias made five stops for the Foresters.
