DE PERE - St. Norbert College won its eighth consecutive match with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Grinnell College in a Midwest Conference match at De Pere High School's Nowak Family Field.

The Green Knights (11-3-1, 6-0 MWC) last won eight consecutive matches on Sept. 28-Oct. 25, 2009.

St. Norbert got all the scoring it would need just 3:46 into the match, when Ben Prange scored his 13th goal of the season off an assist from Anthony Masello.

That goal would hold up until late in the game, when Prange converted a penalty kick in the 87th minute to ice the win.

Grinnell outshot St. Norbert 9-7, but the Green Knights had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. Josh Koleske posted his fourth shutout of the season with six saves for the Green Knights.
