DE PERE - St. Norbert College and Knox College settled for a share of the Midwest Conference championship after battling to a 0-0 tie at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (14-3-2, 8-0-1 MWC) claimed their ninth MWC championship with the draw. Knox (13-2-4, 8-0-1 MWC) will host the MWC Tournament in Galesburg, Ill., next weekend after getting the nod on the tiebreaker for the No. 1 seeding.

The match was about as evenly contested as possible, with each team getting equal amounts of pressure. St. Norbert and Knox had 12 shots apiece, with the Green Knights holding a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

The best scoring opportunity on either side came in the 82nd minute, when Ben Prange's pass found the foot of Griffin Hoerchner. Hoerchner's shot was saved by the face of Knox goalkeeper Justin Dunn.

Dunn made seven saves for the Prairie Fire, while Josh Koleske made five stops for the Green Knights. It was St. Norbert's fifth consecutive shutout.
