DE PERE - St. Norbert College couldn't quite rally in the final moments as the Green Knights fell 60-57 to UW-Oshkosh in a non-conference game at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

The Green Knights (2-1) trailed 58-57 with 7.7 seconds remaining on D.J. DeValk's 3-pointer. Ben Boots made a pair of free throws for Oshkosh (2-0) with 6.4 seconds left for a 60-57 lead. St. Norbert then went the length of the floor and got a good look at a potential game-tying 3-pointer as time expired, but the shot was just short.

St. Norbert fell behind 9-2 in the first 2 1/2 minutes of the game and trailed 11-5 with 15:33 left in the half. From there, St. Norbert would holds Oshkosh without a field goal for the next 10:22 but the Green Knights would only hold a 15-11 lead before the Titans scored again. The Green Knights held an 18-14 lead with 4:52 left on Wade Geenen's 3-pointer, but Oshkosh would close the half on a 9-4 run to lead 23-22 at halftime.

Both teams went at it hammer and tongs in the second half. Oshkosh took a 35-28 lead with 16:06 left on a Charlie Noone 3-pointer, but St. Norbert answered with a 10-2 run to take a 38-37 lead with 10:41 to go on a Mitchell Reinthaler hoop. The Titans would counter with a 10-3 run to take a 47-41 edge with 6:43 to go. Reinthaler later hit a 3-pointer with 1:55 left to cut the St. Norbert deficit to 54-52 to set up the game's final dramatic moments.

St. Norbert shot 32.3 percent (20-for-62) from the floor. Reinthaler led the Green Knights with 22 points, while DeValk added 10 points.

Oshkosh shot 39.3 percent (22-for-56) from the floor. Adam Fravert had 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Jack Flynn had 10 points and 10 rebounds, nine of them on the offensive end.
