FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College pumped in three power-play goals and went on to win 4-1 over Marian University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Blue Line Family Ice Center.

The Green Knights (9-0-1), ranked No. 1 in the USCHO.com and D3hockey.com Division III polls, remained unblemished in NCHA play at 6-0.

The win also moved St. Norbert coach Tim Coghlin to 400 games over .500 in his illustrious 25-year coaching career with the Green Knights. Coghlin is 538-138-53 at St. Norbert, and is only the seventh coach in the history of college hockey to reach that plateau. Coghlin joins Jerry York, Ron Mason, Jack Parker, Red Berenson, Bob Peters and Bob Emery as those who have won at least 400 more games than they've lost.

St. Norbert scored three power-play goals on 10 chances, including two 33 seconds apart midway through the first period. Roman Uchyn scored unassisted on a 5-on-3 power-play chance at the 9:26 mark. Kurt Black then scored at 9:59 to finish off the Green Knights remaining power-play time for a 2-0 Green Knights lead.

Those two markers would hold up until early in the third period, when Marian cut into its deficit with a power-play goal by Nick Monfils at 3:26. The Green Knights would recapture a two-goal lead moments later, with Dominick Sacco scoring a power-play goal at 5:54. St. Norbert would hold of the Sabres down the stretch, and added an empty-net goal from Tanner Froese with 1:24 remaining.

Froese added an assist for a two-point game, while Nick LeSage and Luke Davison added two assists apiece.

St. Norbert outshot Marian 35-28. T.J. Black made 27 saves for the Green Knights, while Hunter Vorva made 31 stops for the Sabres.

Marian was 1-for-4 on the power play.
