Green Knights Blanked By Golden Gusties

DE PERE - St. Norbert College was shutout for the first time in the 2017-18 season in a 3-0 loss to nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus College in a non-conference game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (4-5-3) fell behind early when the Golden Gusties' Kristen Cash scored a 5-on-3 power-play goal at the 9:53 mark of the first period.

Gustavus Adolphus (9-1-1), ranked No. 5 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, added to its lead when Kaitlyn Klein scored at 5:51 of the second period. The Golden Gusties put the game away when Laura Johnson scored with two seconds remaining in the second period.

Gustavus Adolphus was 1-for-6 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 0-for-2.

Leigh Grall made 37 saves for the Green Knights, who were outshot 40-8. Amanda DiNella made all eight saves for Gustavus Adolphus in 47:13 of work. Paige Press finished up the last 12:47 in net for the Golden Gusties.
