ADRIAN, Mich. - St. Norbert College couldn't hold a two-goal lead and dropped a 3-2 overtime decision to Adrian College in a key Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Arrington Ice Arena.

The Green Knights (15-4-1, 10-3 NCHA), ranked No. 2 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll and No. 1 in the D3hockey.com Poll, lost their third consecutive game for only the second time in the last 21 seasons. Adrian (16-4, 12-1), ranked No. 1 by USCHO.com and No. 3 by D3hockey.com, moved four points in front of St. Norbert in the overall NCHA standings.

St. Norbert found itself with a 2-0 lead early in the second period. Dominick Sacco scored at 6:32 of the first period, followed by a Brad Pung goal 52 seconds into the second period.

The Bulldogs would answer at 12:56 of the second on a goal by Trevor Boyd. Chase Matson scored a 4-on-4 goal at the 11:44 mark of the third period to knot the score 2-2. Adrian would get the game-winning goal at 2:13 of overtime off the stick of Cory Dunn.

Adrian outshot St. Norbert 43-31, including a total of 30-12 in the second and third periods combined. The Green Knights had the first four shots on goal in overtime, but the Bulldogs found pay dirt on their first shot on net in the period.

T.J. Black made 40 stops for the Green Knights, while Kevin Entmaa made 29 saves for Adrian. St. Norbert was 0-for-4 on the power play, while Adrian was 0-for-5.
