DeValk, Reinthaler Earn All-MWC Honors

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior guard D.J. DeValk and senior forwrad Mitchell Reinthaler earned recognition on the All-Midwest Conference Team announced by the league office.

DeValk was a first-team All-MWC selection for the third consecutive season, while Reinthaler was second-team All-MWC honoree.

DeValk, a Little Chute native, averaged 15.7 points per season before suffering a season-ending injury on Feb. 10. DeValk's joins Brandon Gries (2012-14) as the only Green Knights to be first-team All-MWC three times in men's basketball. DeValk finished tenth on St. Norbert's career scoring list with 1,376 points.

Reinthaler, a Rhinelander native, is averaging 14.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game this season while shooting 50.8 percent from the floor. Reinthaler has 197 total rebounds, needing just three more to become only the second Green Knights in 42 years to post a 200-rebound season.

St. Norbert enters the MWC Tournament 19-6 overall. The Green Knights face Ripon College at 5 p.m. Friday in a semifinal game.
