Green Knights Defeat Edgewood

MIDDLETON - St. Norbert College won five of six singles matches en route to a 7-2 win over Edgewood College in a non-conference match at Hitters Sportsplex.

The Green Knights improved to 3-3 overall with the win.

Matt LaViolette and Alex Vandenberg both earned 6-0, 6-0 wins for the Green Knights. LaViolette blanked Ricky Thaden at No. 5, while Vandenberg shutout Zhen Hao Lee at No. 6.

Ben Vande Zande beat Evan Stone 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Robert Quinlan topped Sabastion Seeger 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3. Jordan Crump defeated Jackson Venske 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4.

Vande Zande and Quinlan earned a 9-8 (7-4) win at No. 1 doubles, while Vandenberg and Joe Oleniczak claimed an 8-1 victory at No. 3.
