Green Knights Swept at Ripon

RIPON - St. Norbert College lost a pair of one-run games to Ripon College by scores of 3-2 and 4-3 in a Midwest Conference doubleheader at Tracy Field.
In the opener, St. Norbert carried a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning until the Red Hawks scored three runs to steal the win.
Brianna Braeger led off the game with a triple for St. Norbert and came home later in the inning on a Carley Frauenhoff groundout. Frauenhoff's third-inning double brought Kelsey Berna home for a 2-0 lead. The Red Hawks rallied with three unearned runs in the sixth, with Ripon scoring three times on two hits and two St. Norbert errors.
Berna was 2-for-3 for the Green Knights with a pair of doubles, while Braeger was 2-for-4. Emma Molenhouse took the loss, allowing nine hits with no walks and two strikeouts.
In the nightcap, St. Norbert scored an unearned run in the third inning. Ripon countered with a four-run third inning. Those runs held up as the Green Knights scored twice in the seventh inning, getting a two-run single from Randi Morack.
Braeger and Lexy Campshure were both 2-for-3. Sydney Pfotenhauer took the loss for the Green Knights, allowing nine hits and four runs in three-plus innings pitched.
