Parbs Wins Steeplechase at Bellarmine

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Sarah Parbs won the 3,000-meter steeplechase to lead St. Norbert College performances at the Bellarmine University Classic at Owsley Frazier Stadium.

It was an unscored meet with several NCAA Division II schools competing.

Parbs fashioned a time of 11:47.11 to claim the title in the steeplechase, the Green Knights' lone event championship.

Kirsten Carrigan was second in the pole vault with a clearance of 10 feet 6 inches, while Kristina Herman was second in the discus with a toss of 120-9. Herman was third in the shot put at 39-5 1/4, while Savanna Smith was third in the discus at 118-6.

Peyton McCauley had a pair of fourth-place showings in hurdles events, finishing the 100 in 16.42 seconds and the 400 in 1:06.01. McCauley added a seventh-place finish in the triple jump at 33-5 1/4.

The 4x400-meter relay of Brianne Barta, Morgan McClone, Claire Van Beek and Hailey Ruplinger was fourth with a time of 4:!1.08.

Danielle Harris was fourth in the javelin throw at 96-10 and added a sixth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:19.29. Hannah Kruse was fourth in the shot put at 36-2 1/4, while Smith was sixth at 35-8 1/2.

Graceanne Tarsa was fifth in the pole vault at 10 feet even and added a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:09.02. Gretchen Price was sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 19:03.02, while Abby Janto was eighth in 19:36.19. Anna Giblin was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.65 seconds.

Morgan McClone was seventh in the 400-meter run in 1:01.26, while Ruplinger was seventh in the 800-meter run in 2:24.58.

Alex Socha was seventh in the javelin at 88-3 followed by Taylor Schmid in eighth at 86-11. Emmy Larson was eighth in the high jump at 4-7 3/4.
