Markham, Jensen Honored as Green Knights Finish Fourth at MWC Meet

ROCKFORD, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished in fourth place at the Midwest Conference Championship at Aldeen Golf Club.

The Green Knights covered the 54-hole layout with scores of 315-325-299--939 to finish 21 strokes behind conference champion Lake Forest College's 918. The round of 299 was St. Norbert's first sub-300 round since carding a 298 on April 19, 2015, also at Aldeen. Illinois College's A.J. Jeffers was the individual champion with a 73-78-73--224.

Jack Markham earned MWC Newcomer of the Year honors, while David Jensen was the 2018 MWC Men's Golf Elite 20 Award recipient. Jensen is St. Norbert's ninth MWC Elite 20 Award honoree this academic year.

Markham finished one stroke behind Jeffers to place second with a 76-76-71--225. Luke Bourneuf was 11th with a 75-78-80--233. Eric Bagg tied for 17th place with an 83-83-77--243.

Luke Karakas tied for 22nd place at 84-87-77--248, while Adam Rohde was 24th with an 81-95-74--250. Jensen tied for 26th place with an 83-86-85--254.
