St. Norbert Wins 11 Events at Lawrence

APPLETON - St. Norbert College won 11 events as the Green Knights cruised to the team title of the Lawrence University Invitational at Whiting Field.
The Green Knights piled up 324 1/2 points to easily outdistance Ripon College's 171 1/2 points. Lawrence was third with 89 points.
Graceanne Tarsa won two events for the Green Knights, finishing the 400-meter hurdles in 1:09.38. She also won the pole vault with a height of 10 feet 10 1/4 inches. Tarsa shared the pole vault crown wiht Kirsten Carrigan, who matched the 10-10 1/4 clearance.
Hailey Ruplinger won the 400-meter dash in 1:02.70, while Kelley Gardipee took the 800-meter run in 2:21.92. Abby Janto claimed the 1,500-meter run in 5:02.95, while Haidyn Mueller captured the 100-meter hurdles in 15.70 seconds.
Sarah Duff, Morgan McClone, Maddie LeBrun and Brianne Barta won the 4x400-meter relay in 4:08.71.
Hayley Winzenried won the high jump at 5-1, while Brittany Wagner took the triple jump at 32-1. Kristina Herman's distance of 38-3 1/4 was good enough to win the shot put, while Savanna Smith's throw of 118-7 in the discus was also the top mark. Danielle Harris won the javelin throw with a distance of 103-2.
