As told by Riley Haas and Joe Lemon:

Day 8 - Part 2 - (5/21/18) - We also had the chance to walk through some parts of the palace and see the luxurious pictures, busts and even the royal bedroom. Once we finished walking around the palace, we rode the bus over to the Olympic Park for a quick tour. After the tour we grabbed some lunch from the local vendors before heading to Old Town Munich for about an hour. While in Old Town we walked through the streets and saw a clock tower and ventured through an old church. At this point we had to head back to the hotel to get ready for our last game. In our last game we were able to pull out a victory amid controversy. After the game we found out the bus driver had left us so we rode the city train back to the hotel which actually happened to be faster. To cap off the night we got a chance to see what downtown Munich was like at night which once again was a great time.

Day 9 (5/22/18) - Today was our last day in Germany which was a bittersweet feeling. The trip seemed like it went by in the blink of an eye but the ten-day trip was the perfect length. We visited another castle today which was up among mountains and rolling hills. This castle was called the Neuschwanstein Castle and was home to King Ludwig II in the 19th century. The scenery around the castle was some of the best we had seen all trip. We arrived at the bottom of a mountain and had to take a shuttle bus up to the castle. We had a guided tour for about a half-hour and as we were walking back down to the shuttle we got slammed by a rainstorm that left us soaked for the two-hour bus ride back to Munich. Just as we were pulling out to head back to Munich, the bus driver skimmed another bus and left their mirror dangling which set us back about 45 minutes. When we finally got back to Munich we had about two hours to do some shopping before going back to the hotel for our final dinner. We had to leave the next morning at 6:45 a.m. so everyone had a pretty relaxing night around the hotel. Everyone on the trip enjoyed themselves from start to finish and this experience was a great opportunity for us to develop more team chemistry and share moments that we will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you to everyone that supported us along the way and allowed us to go on this amazing trip. Go Green Knights!!
