DE PERE - St. Norbert College has named Jacob Sheeter as its strength and performance coach, athletics director Tim Bald announced.

Sheeter, who will begin his duties at St. Norbert on July 9, arrives in De Pere after working as a strength and conditioning assistant for the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colo. Sheeter worked with resident athletes in men's and women's freestyle wrestling, men's gymnastics, men's and women's boxing, figure skating and paralympic swimming and judo. Prior to his assistantship, he was a volunteer and intern with the USOC.

"In addition to his knowledge in his field, Jacob has a lot of energy and is very eager to get started at St. Norbert," Bald said. "We look forward to him working with our student-athletes and coaches."

Sheeter earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Fresno State. He spent two years as a graduate assistant with the Bulldogs, covering multiple sports. Sheeter also worked as a teaching assistant at Fresno State during his graduate assistantship.

A Madera, Calif., native, Sheeter holds certifications from the National Strength & Conditioning Association, United States Weightlifting and the American Health & Safety Institute.
