PLATTEVILLE - St. Norbert College got plenty of scoring but unfortunately couldn't slow down UW-Platteville standout Caelyn Steffens in a 6-4 loss to the Pioneers in a non-conference match at Pioneer Stadium.

Steffens scored all six goals for Platteville, including a pair in the 75th and 78th minutes to snap a 4-4 tie that decided the outcome.

Steffens scored at the 6:12 mark, with that goal holding up until Madalyn Sanderfoot scored on a penalty kick at the 30:08 mark. Steffens cashed in 40 seconds later with a penalty kick of her own, leading to Platteville taking a 2-1 edge into halftime.

Sanderfoot tied the game again with an unassisted goal at 50:33. Steffens scored at 54:02 and 61:16 to give the Pioneers a 4-2 lead, but the Green Knights charged back with goals by Dana Schwab at 64:55 and Monica Stephans at 74:08 to square the match at 4-4.

Schwab and Hanna Lech had assists for the Green Knights.

Platteville outshot St. Norbert 16-10 but the Green Knights had a 3-2 nod in corner kicks. Ally Magiera made seven saves for St. Norbert, while Kathryn Flaherty made three saves for the Pioneers.
