MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College picked up another key win in trying to secure a Midwest Conference Tournament berth with a 1-0 double-overtime win over Cornell College.

Cara Donegan's first goal of the season found the cage at the 102:38 mark to give St. Norbert a key victory. Donegan took a corner kick from Hanna Lech and finished for the game's lone goal

The victory kept the Green Knights in at least a second-place in the MWC standings. St. Norbert and Cornell both entered the match as part of a five-way tie for second place in the conference standings with 12 points.

St. Norbert outshot Cornell 8-4 and held a 5-0 edge in corner kicks on a blustery day. Ally Magiera made three saves for the Green Knights, while Elise Thomasan-Larsen made five stops for the Rams.

St. Norbert's scheduled home match Sunday with UW-Stevens Point has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict for the Pointers.
