DE PERE - St. Norbert College advanced to the Midwest Conference Tournament Championship with a solid performance in a 2-0 win over Lake Forest College in a semifinal match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (17-0-1), ranked No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Poll, will face Knox College at 2 p.m. Saturday in the MWC Tournament Championship. The winner will receive the MWC's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament.

St. Norbert, which tied a single-season school record for wins with the victory, jumped ahead early. Ben Prange passed the ball from the middle out to Logan Block on the point, whose strong shot was true at the 12-minute mark. It was Block's eighth goal of the season.

The Green Knights held their one-goal lead until doubling their advantage in the 53rd minute. Block passed out to Max Censky on the left side, whose side shot deflected off Lake Forest goalkeeper Tero Elias and into the net at 52:21. It was Censky's third goal of the season.

St. Norbert held the run of play for most of the match, outshooting Lake Forest 15-3 and had a 10-2 edge on corner kicks. Josh Koleske, who earned his second consecutive MWC Elite 20 Award, stopped the only shot he faced for St. Norbert, while Elias made six saves for the Foresters.

The match was marred by 37 fouls, with the Foresters holding a commanding 23-14 edge.
