Five Earn All-MWC Honors; Rhodes Named Coach of the Year

DE PERE - St. Norbert College's men's soccer team placed five players on the All-Midwest Conference Team, with junior Ben Prange named the league's Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Prange joined senior Griffin Hoerchner, junior Anthony Masello and sophomore Logan Block on the first team. Sophomore Dominic DeMaria earned second-team mention. St. Norbert coach Derek Rhodes also collected his second Midwest Conference Coach of the Year honor.

Prange, a Wauwatosa native, was named first-team All-MWC for the third consecutive season. He led the Midwest Conference with a St. Norbert-record 21 goals and added five assists for 47 points while also collecting six game-winning goals. Prange is the St. Norbert career leader in goals with 50 and points with 111.

Hoerchner, a Germantown native, finished the season with two goals and five assists for nine points from his spot in the midfield.

Masello, a Darien, Ill., native, helped organize the back and finished with two goals and one assist for five points. St. Norbert outscored its foes 69-8 this season.

Block, a Grafton native, was second on the Green Knights in scoring. He finished the year with eight goals and 10 assists for 26 points.

DeMaria, a Port Washington native, was tied for third on the squad in points, finishing with five goals and six assists for 16 points.

St. Norbert finished its season 17-1-1 overall and was unbeaten in the Midwest Conference at 9-0 to win its second consecutive league championship.
