EAU CLAIRE - St. Norbert College sophomore goaltender Anais Aurard tied a school record for saves in a game as the Green Knights fell 3-1 to nationally ranked UW-Eau Claire in a non-conference game at Hobbs Ice Center.

Aurard turned away 51 shots to match the St. Norbert standard for saves. Kaley Gibson made 51 saves against UW-Stevens Point on Feb. 16, 2013 and Katie Aluia had 51 saves against Lake Forest College on Jan. 21, 2012. Aurard made 14 saves in the first period, 19 saves in the second period and 18 saves in the third period.

Eau Claire, ranked No. 10 in the USCHO.com Division III poll and an NCAA Division III Tournament qualifier a year ago, scored three goals in a nine-minute stretch in the first period to pull away. Lexi Wilson scored at 12:07, followed by markers from Kelly Knetter at 16:23 and Courtney Wittig at 18:41.

KJ Wallace scored St. Norbert's goal with a tally at 11:56 of the second period, her fourth goal of the season. Lauren Michael was credited with an assist.

St. Norbert was 0-for-4 on the power play, while Eau Claire was 0-for-3. Erin Connolly made nine saves for the Blugolds.
