DE PERE - St. Norbert College went on a 20-0 run bridging both halves as the Green Knights romped past Knox College 78-55 in a Midwest Conference game at Memorial Gym.

The Green Knights (10-5, 8-0 MWC) found themselves deadlocked with the Prairie Fire 25-25 with 3:57 left in the first half before closing the period on an 11-0 spurt. Connor Curtis converted a conventional three-point play to start the flurry, followed by two baskets each from Curtis and Joe Lemon as the Green Knights headed into intermission ahead 36-25.

St. Norbert then scored the first nine points of the second half to quickly take the mystery out of the outcome. Curtis, Joe Ciriacks and Joe Lemon all hit jumpers, followed by a 3-pointer from Curtis, for a 45-25 edge with 17:03 to play.

Knox would get no closer than 17 points the rest of the game, with St. Norbert leading by as many as 30 points.

The Green Knights shot a lusty 56.6 percent (30-for-53) from the floor. Curtis finished with 23 points, while Lemon added 13 points and nine rebounds and Ciriacks finished with 12 points.

Knox shot 42.9 percent (21-for-49) from the floor. Justin Windt had 16 points while Jordan Rayner added 12 points.
